1837 Cumberland Jack Token – To Hanover – Victoria

It bear the words “To Hanover”, they are commonly known as Cumberland Jacks and usually found with Victoria’s portrait on the obverse. A figure riding a horse on the reverse styled as St George slaying the dragon. Sold as satirical counter, they were finally made illegal in 1883.
